oil, oil everywhere and not a drop to use

i was born in florida, so i swam in the gulf of mexico about a gajillion times as a kid, played in the sand - my dad used to take us sailing too.

it sucks that this will affect everything.  the water, the air, the land.  it sucks really bad.  and all because some of *us* want to drive *range rovers*.  why? there are no ranges to be roved in suburbia.  at least no ranges that haven't been paved.  and by *range rovers* i mean explorers and landcruisers and expeditions and any other ridiculously large gas guzzling monstrosity of a vehicle.  it's just not neccessary and we all know it.  i wish our country had places like copenhagen because that would lessen the need for drilling anywhere *baby*.  perhaps if one could see another's face, instead of the giant grill of their landshark suv machine, we would all be a kinder gentler breed of peoples.
i'm just saying.
